2021 Polenta alla Spiantora

We are excited to invite you to our first ever San Rucci Winemaker’s Dinner and to share in a family tradition of ‘Polenta on the Board’.  This is a traditional way to eat polenta in Northern Italy.  Known as polenta alla spiantora, it is usually served with forks but no plates, with guests gathered around the table for a very casual family style meal.  While in our current state we can’t serve it on a communal board we promise it will still be a fun experience.

Chef Richard and Jeramy from The Kitchen have worked closely with San Rucci winemakers, Bill and Tony, to prepare a meal that pairs perfectly with San Rucci wines.

The evening will start with a welcome reception at 6:00, with dinner being served at 6:30.

2021 Polenta alla Spianatora


1st:   Antipasto – House Pickled Vegetables with a selection of Italian Meats and Cheeses served with House Made Focaccia Bread

2nd:  Shaved Fennel Salad with Orange Segments and Walnuts in a Tarragon Vinaigrette

3rd:  Polenta alla Spianatora, Braised Pork Shoulder and Sauteed Purple Kale

Dessert: Chocolate Croissant Bread Pudding with Mocha Whipped Cream
